Grafting vegetables is a time-tested way for growers to protect plants from soil-borne diseases as well as potentially improve yields,according to a Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service expert.

Those interested in planting, growing and maintaining fruit or pecan trees in the Central Texas area should attend the Fruit and Nut Tree Planting and Pruning Workshop Feb. 5 in Georgetown, program coordinators said.
