Funeral Services for Silvestre Rodriguez, 68, of Brownfield will be held at 10am on Saturday, August 1, 2026 at Brownfield Funeral Home with Raul Guiterrez officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7pm on Friday, July 31, 2026 at Brownfield Funeral Home.
Silvestre was known as a truly gentle and generous soul. Even in his days of illness, he managed to greet each new morning with a bright smile and a light spirit that uplifted those around him. His resilience was matched only by his capacity for love. Silvestre found joy in the simplest pleasures—none more so than in the kitchen. Cooking wasn’t just a pastime for him, but a way to share his heart with others, filling both plates and souls with comfort and warmth. Silvestre’s love for his family shone brightest in the time he spent with his grandchildren. And then, there was Russell—Silvestre’s loyal dog and steadfast companion. Silvestre was preceded in death by his father, Lazar Rodriguez and granddaughter, Natali Rodriguez.
Silvestre is survived by his wife, Belia Rodriguez; son; Lazar Rodriguez; 2 grandsons; 3 granddaughters; a great grandson; mother, Juanita Rodriguez; 6 brothers and 1 sister.
