Robert Lynn Cabe, 62, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2025 from glioblastoma brain cancer.
The family will receive friends at a visitation from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 7th at Lunn’s Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 8th at Faith Village Church of Christ with Mr. Chris Swinford officiating. Interment will follow at Rosemont Cemetery under the direction of Lunn’s Colonial Funeral Home.

Robert was born on March 9, 1962 in Lubbock, TX to Mildred Joan (Flowers) and Walter Creed Cabe. He grew up in the Brownfield, TX area and graduated from Wellman High School in 1980. He then went on to graduate from West Texas State University in 1985 with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing. Then he graduated from Texas Wesleyan University in 1992 with a Masters of Health Science and worked as a Nurse Anesthetist for 28 years; 12 years at Bethania Hospital and 16 years at Kell West Regional Hospital. On April 10th, 1993, he married Angela (Willis) Cabe, an energetic and godly woman.
Robert was a devoted Christian father and avid fisherman. He enjoyed hiking, spending time in nature, and volunteering at church and community events. Robert was a member of Faith Village Church of Christ, where he served as a volunteer in the Cradle Roll for 26 years and helped the youth group while his sons grew up. He helped as a volunteer band parent for the S.H. Rider Raider band for 5 years. He had a knack for making people laugh and a warm, welcoming personality. He never met a stranger and loved getting to know and helping those around him.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, Walter Creed Cabe; his grandfather, L.B. Cabe; grandmother, Lorraine Cabe; grandfather, D.C. Flowers; and grandmother, Lois Flowers.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Angela (Willis) Cabe of Wichita Falls, TX; children, Forrest Cabe and wife Brisa of Lubbock, TX; and Hunter Cabe of Edmond, OK; grandchildren, Parker Cabe & Jasper Cabe; mother, Mildred Joan (Flowers) Cabe of Brownfield, TX; brother, Gary Cabe and wife Katy of Brownfield, TX; brother in-law Phil Willis and Suzanne of Lakeside City; and several other dear relatives.
