A few weeks ago, TownTalk Media did a two-part TownTalk Show series on grief, and was presented by Chris and Lisa Seaton. Now the Brownfield Funeral Home is co-sponsoring an 11-week grief support group with Terry County Ministerial Alliance to provide valuable guidance and a supportive environment for all who have experienced loss.
Beginning on March 18th and ending May 27th, Chirs and Lisa, with the Brownfield Funeral Home will be meeting every Monday from 6:00 to 7:30 pm at First Baptist Church (enter through the north entrance off of Hill Street). Each session is designed to be independent, so feel free to join any or all of them. Their goal is to provide helpful resources and a welcoming atmosphere that encourages healing and growth.
During each session, they’ll begin with a welcome and orientation, followed by a 30-minute video on a specific topic related to grief. Then, they’ll have time for group discussion. Please know that you don’t have to speak unless you feel comfortable doing so.
Also, being provided will be a helpful workbook for each participant, and THERE’S NO COST TO ATTEND. Chris and Lisa will serve as facilitators for the group and provide guidance and support as needed.
