He was born February 11, 1961, to C.E. “Buddy” and Janelle Patterson Brantley in Denver City and was a 1979 graduate of Plains High School. He attended West Texas State University and graduated from the School of Fine Arts in Paris, Texas. He was a member of North Pointe Baptist Church in Hurst. Randy’s many talents touched numerous lives. He was a custom jeweler and gemologist in Brownfield and Lubbock for many years before visual impairments eventually shortened that career. He blessed many lives ministering through vocal music. He was an ordained Baptist music minister and served in various churches in Brownfield, Wolfforth and Lubbock. Randy’s voice resonated hope, praise and genuine worship. His laughter and loving spirit lifted the hearts of many. The family is comforted that his love and care for others will continue as he had chosen to be a LifeGift donor. Randy loved to paint in his free time and recently became a member of the Gideons. He was preceded in death by his father, Buddy Brantley, and his grandparents. Randy is survived by his wife of 33 years, Susan Reed Brantley; sons, Justin Brantley and wife, Laura, of Flower Mound and Kyle Brantley of Bedford; his mother, Janelle Brantley of Lubbock; a brother, Richard Brantley and wife, Lea, of Midland; and a sister, Rhonda Cox and husband, Lynn, of Wolfforth.
