Since volleyball is over, the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC) polls have begun to move. In pre-season polls, the Brownfield Lady Cubs were at #1 in Class 3A. The Lady Cubs have not played a basketball game yet due to their long volleyball postseason, however, that all changed today Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2021, when they took on Lubbock Estacado and won 65-29. Most likely, if the Lady Cubs lose a game, then they will drop in the rankings. The Meadow Lady Broncos and Wellman-Union Lady Cats are both sitting at 4-1 and are not ranked. However their district foe Whiteface sits at #4 and bi-district foes Sands sits at #3 and Borden Co. sits at #21.
