According to the Terry County Joint Election Administrator Krystal Valentin, the City of Wellman has placed a sales tax increase on the May ballot. This proposition will appear like this on the ballot in May and is only for the City of Wellman residents: ADOPTING A SALES AND USE TAX OF ONE PERCENT ON THE RECEIPTS FROM THE SALE AT RETAIL OF TAXABLE ITEMS WITHIN THE MUNICIPALITY WITH THE REVENUE TO BE USED FOR GENERAL MUNICIPAL PURPOSES.
