Funeral Services for Melba Josephine Gayle, 80, of Denver City will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 14, 2021 in the First Baptist Church with Rev. Kyle Streun officiating, with Interment following in the Denver City Memorial Park under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Denver City.
Melba passed away Friday, December 10, 2021 in Denver City, Texas.
Melba was born on June 13, 1941 in Direct, Texas to Melvin and Lois Baze. Melba Josephine Baze married Walter Gayle Jr on November 15, 1997 in Denver City, Texas. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and a longtime member of the Denver City Community. She volunteered at the First Baptist Church, Yoakum County Museum and the Senior Citizens.
She was preceded in death by her husband Walter in 2009; a son Victor Todd on February 7, 2021; and a brother and a sister.
Melba is survived by her two daughters Gail Eastteam and her husband Wayne of Denver City, Rachel Kelley of Big Spring; two sons Randy Todd of Hobbs, Tony Todd of Arlington; a sister Peggy Robertson of Denver City; thirteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren.
