Meadow FCCLA Team(s) returned from State FCCLA Conference in Dallas on Sunday and they are excited to share their results! The students represented Meadow very well and there is so much to be proud of the MHS students.
Three students (two teams) have advanced to the National FCCLA Conference in Denver, Colorado July 1st-6th. Ebony Franco and Abigail Gonzalez – Hospitality, Tourism, and Recreation Level 2 – 1st Place, National Qualifier, $8,000 Scholarship Winners. Melony Franco – Teach or Train Level 2 – 2nd Place National Qualifier

The state qualifying teams, Alissa Simental – Interpersonal Communications Level 2 and Addison Garcia Interior Design Level 2 worked really hard this year and MISD is so proud of their accomplishments this year as well! “The future is looking so bright for these students!” said Savannah Rance, MISD FCCLA Advisor.
For FCSA’s, Ebony Franco, Melony Franco, and Alissa Simental received State Gold Medals, Abigail Gonzalez received a State Silver Medal, and Elvis Rodriguez received a State Bronze Medal.
For Power of One, Meadow FCCLA had 25 completers, one of the largest chapters to complete all 5 units of Power of One in the state. They will also be recognized at the national level for their accomplishments in Power of One.
MISD FCCLA chapter has so much to celebrate, and Rance would like for people to follow this group as they plan fundraisers to raise money to help these students represent Meadow FCCLA and Texas FCCLA at the National Conference. If you would like to help these students, please contact the Meadow FCCLA advisor, Savannah Rance.
