Man shot in Brownfield has been released

Brownfield Texas. On February 3, 2025, at approximately 7:06 pm, Officers of the Brownfield Police Department were dispatched to the 300 block of East Cardwell in reference to a report of shots fired in the area. Arriving officers located a 34-year-old Hispanic male, Jose Zuniga, with a gunshot wound. The victim was airlifted to a Lubbock area hospital where he was treated and released. According to the Brownfield PD, they do not know who the shooter is and the suspect is still at large. The Brownfield Police Department is in the early stages of the investigation and is asking for anyone with information about this crime to contact Detective Randi Truelock at 806 637-2511.
