Malcolm Ladell Rainwater, 60, departed this life on Wednesday, October 11, 2022. The celebratory Service was held Saturday, October 15, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Greater New Hope Baptist Church, Brownfield, TX. Interment followed at Mt. Zion Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitations were held Friday, October 14, 2022, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Griffin Mortuary.
Malcolm Ladell Rainwater was born to Bertha and John Rainwater on December 29, 1961. Malcolm graduated from Dunbar High School in 1981.
Malcolm worked for the City of Brownfield (retired) and Brownfield Independent School District.
He is survived by: his wife: Janie; parents; John and Bertha; sons, Tyron (Erica), Treveus (Veronica), Malcolm (Ambry), and Jaylen (Aubrey); sister, Sherry (Melvin) Adams; brothers, Selwyn (Bennie) and John (Catiana); nine grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
