A male driver was traveling north on 14th Street in a white late-model Mercedes sedan. As he approached the intersection of West Main and 14th Street, he disregarded the stop sign and collided with a silver late-model Chevrolet Equinox, which was being driven by a female driver with a female passenger. The Chevrolet was traveling east on US Highway 380, also known as West Main.
The impact caused the Chevrolet to roll into the westbound lane of West Main, where it then collided with a white dump truck. The dump truck driver was preparing to turn left onto 14th Street at the time of the collision.
The two females in the Chevrolet were transported by ambulance to the hospital with unknown injuries. The drivers of the Mercedes and the dump truck received treatment at the scene.
Responding to the incident were BRMC EMS, Brownfield Fire & Rescue, Brownfield Police Department, Meadow Volunteer Fire Department, Wellman Volunteer Fire Department, and TxDOT.
