The Lady Cubs entered Tuesday nights game as an underdog and came out victorious. The Lady Cubs we are able to take a 2-0 lead in very close games at 26-24 and 25-23 with stellar play including 23 digs from Maddison Hord, 9 from Dabria Blackwell and 6 from Gabi Fields. Offensive leaders in the first 2 games were Dabria Blackwell with 6 kills, Tia Johnson with 5 kills and Deja Johnson with 4 kills. The Lady Cubs fell in game three 25-13 before sealing the deal in the 4th game with a commanding 25-18 win. Maddison Hord led the team in digs in game four with 7 followed by Libby Guerra with 5. Deja and Tia Johnson led in kills with 7 of the 9 kills for game four.
This win moves the Lady Cubs into 3rd place at 3-4 in district play with 1 game left on Saturday Oct. 26th against Idalou at home. Come out and support the Lady Cubs as they finish up district play and prep for the state playoffs.
