The Lady Cubs, playing in the Monahans Tournament, flexed their muscles early on in Tuesday’s games. The Ladies were forced to pass up the Caprock Tournament due to having a district game scheduled during the tournament.
In the morning matchup in Monahans, the Ladies faced Kermit and won 82 – 9. The Lady Jackets did not score in the first half. The score was 43-0 at the half. This game also marked Dabria Blackwell’s return after a knee surgery.

Leading scorers for the Lady Cubs were Gabi Fields with 21, Tia Johnson with 20, and Lindsey Herrera with 12.

Later in the day, the Lady Cubs faced San Elizario and defeated them by a score of 64-35.
Gabi again led all scorers with 23. Deja Johnson had 11.
The Ladies will face Hereford at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, and the host team Monahans at 5 p.m.

The Ladies will be at home on Friday for a 12:30 p.m. district matchup against Muleshoe. The Cubs will follow at 2 p.m. as they open district play.
