The Celebration of “Juneteenth,” as it is commonly referred to, will take place over three days this coming weekend in the Party House at Coleman Park.
Starting on Friday, June 18 at 6:30, there will be food, fun, and festivities. The schedule is as follows:
June 18, Friday – 6:30 – 11:30 p.m.
June 19, Saturday – 3:30 – 11:30 p.m.
June 20, Sunday – 3:30 – 11:30 p.m.
There will be jumpers and waterslides for the kiddos. There will be domino and spades tournaments for the adults. Of course there will be food! And the ice cream truck is scheduled to come around, as well.
There will also be a few featured speakers for the event.
There will also be a basketball tournament going on at Brownfield Middle School, starting at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday morning as a part of the festivities.
