Funeral service for Jesusa “ Quata” Medina will be held at 10 am Monday, October 8, 1018, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with Father Joe Kochuparambil officiating. Burial will follow in the Brownfield Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 12 pm to 6 pm with the rosary following from 6 pm to 7 pm on Sunday, October 7, 2018, at Brownfield Funeral Home.
Jesusa passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2018, in Brownfield. She was born on September 15, 1945, to Jose and Geneva Perez in Spur. She married Juan Medina on December 5, 1961, in Brownfield. Jesusa loved all children and they would flock to her. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren have a special place in her heart. She was a very loving and hilarious person. Jesusa is preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Geneva Perez; husband, Juan Medina Sr.; son, Juan Medina Jr., 4 brothers, Jose Perez Jr., Santiago Perez, Manuel Perez, and Ramiro Perez; and a sister Maria Morales.
Jesusa is survived by a daughter, Martha Medina of Brownfield; 5 grandsons, Robert Stone of Brownfield, Jonathan Medina of Arizona, Justin Medina of Arizona, Juan Medina III of Brownfield, and Jacob Medina of Brownfield; a granddaughter Mellisa Nicole Medina of Brownfield; a brother Jesse Perez of Brownfield; and 2 sisters Alicia Barron of Lubbock, and Elva Flores of Amarillo.
