Jeanetta Bryan Mills 80, of Seagraves, passed from this Earth to be with her heavenly father Friday, August 24th in Lubbock Texas after a long illness.
Mrs. Mills was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandkids and great-grandkids.

In her later years, one of her greatest joys was going with her husband of 63 years to feed and watch the herd of mule deer that had taken up residence on the family farm. She also enjoyed feeding and watering numerous quail and rabbits that appeared every evening at the barn expecting to feed.

Mrs. Mills was born February 6, 1938, in Sweetwater, Texas to Calvin and Beth Bryan. At age 2 the family moved to Seagraves. Eight years later she saw a young man riding his bicycle at his house and he took her for a pump on the handlebars. She then went home and told her mother, “That’s the man I am going to marry someday.” In fact, that is exactly what happened. On May 19, 1955, Jeanetta Bryan married the love of her life, Harmon Mills in Lovington, New Mexico. They were married for 63 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a Grandson; Nathaniel Brent Cardwell.

Mrs. Mills is survived by her husband Harmon, two daughters, Toni and husband Mike Henson, Kelli Cardwell, and one son Lane Mills, all of Seagraves. Six Grandkids; Bryan and Brad Henson, Trent and Trinda Cardwell and Summer and Garrett Mills, seven great grandkids and one brother, S.J. Bryan and wife Kay of Hobbs, New Mexico.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 27th at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Seagraves.
