Harold Wayne Foster, 84, passed from this life February 9, 2015. A graveside memorial is scheduled Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 2:00 at Brownfield Cemetery, Brownfield, Texas.

Born November 9, 1930 to Elmer and Fay (Jones) Foster, Harold grew up working in his parents’ grocery store. He owned a business in California, farmed near Meadow, Texas and owned a business in Abilene. Later, he worked at Martin Sprocket and Gear in Abilene. He retired in his 70’s and moved to Georgia in 2008.

Harold’s joy was to sing, play and listen to the ‘Old Gospel Songs’. He played the violin and guitar and loved singing gatherings. He had a great sense of humor in the way he looked at himself, others and life.

Preceding Harold in death are his parents, infant sister Edith, two wives, Wanda Jean (1956) and Peggy (2001), and son-in-law, Michael Chapman.

Survivors include three daughters, Donna Chapman, Suzette (and Jerry) Cox, Linda (and Nick) White, eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren.
