Services for Guadalupe Vasquez, 86, of Brownfield will be held at 2 pm Thursday, June 2, 2022, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.
Visitation will be held from 12-8 pm Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at Brownfield Funeral Home.
Guadalupe was born on October 19, 1935, in Corpus Christi to Guadalupe Cobarrubio and Ramona Salas. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved cooking and sharing a meal with family and friends, using that time to visit and spend time with others. She enjoyed planting flowers in her garden and shopping at flea markets and garage sales. Guadalupe was preceded in death by her husband, Apolonio “Paul” Vasquez, Sr.; son, Paul Vasquez, Jr; daughter-in-law, Debra Vasquez; grandson, Ernesto Pierda, great-grandson, Ruben Thomas Garcia; parents; 6 brothers and 1 sister.
She is survived by four sons, Joe Vasquez (Linda), John Vasquez (Lupe), Raymond (Rosa)and Ruben Vasquez (Carrie) and two daughters, Lisa Salgado (Rudy) and Stella Chavez (Lupe); 19 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren.
