Funeral Mass for Francisco Yañez, age 82 of Denver City, Texas will be celebrated Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 12:00 noon at St. Williams Vercelli Center with Father Eduardo Teo officiating. Burial will follow at Denver City Memorial Park. Rosary will be held Friday, February 25, 2021 from 7 to 8 p.m. at St. Williams Vercelli Center. All services are under the direction of Boyer Memorial Chapel, in association with Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole.
Mr. Yañez was born in Mexico September 29, 1939 to Consuelo (Lopez) and Fortino Yañez. He married Antonia Ortega in Mexico on April 28, 1958. He was a Catholic and worked in the oilfield. Francisco was a very sociable and likeable man who enjoyed helping others and always had great words of wisdom. He enjoyed gardening, watching baseball games, and hosting family gatherings. His family was always his number one priority.
Francisco Yañez passed away Sunday, February 20, 2022 at Yoakum County Hospital in Denver City, Texas. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two daughters, one brother, and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Antonia Yañez of Denver City, Texas; three sons, Francisco J. Yañez, Jr., and Freddie Yañez and wife Myra Sanchez, both of Denver City, and Emanuel Yañez and wife Jezebel of Odessa, Texas; seven daughters, Maria Guadalupe Hernandez and husband Jose, Maria Del Socorro Sanchez and husband Leocadio, Elizabeth Jabalera and husband Ricardo Rodriguez, Maria Del Consuelo Ayala and husband Enrique, and Maria Del Pilar Hernandez, all of Denver City, Texas, Flor De Liz Lopez and husband Antonio of Arizona, and Marisol Bucholz and husband Tony of Brady, Texas; two brothers, Juan Yañez and wife Juana and Antonio Yañez and wife Serafina, both of Denver City, Texas; two sisters, Antonia Barrientos and husband Uriel of Denver City, Texas, and Marcelina Yañez and husband Juan of Mexico; 44 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
