Funeral Services for Felix Salas, Jr., 53, of Levelland, will be held at 2pm on Friday, September 29, 2023 at St Anthony’s Catholic Church with Father John Ohlig officiating. Rosary service will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 and Thursday, September 28, 2023 from 6-8pm at Brownfield Funeral Home.
Felix a beloved father, son and brother passed away on September 25, 2023. With a career in painting and sandblasting counting various trades and a genuine passion for his work. Felix’s strong work ethic was matched only by his unwavering faithfulness. He approached every task with a dedication that inspired those around him. Born on October 7, 1969, in the peaceful town of Brownfield to Felix and Esperanza, he brought joy to those around him with his kind heart and unwavering dedication.
Outside of his professional life, Felix found solace in a few cherished hobbies. He had an immense love for fishing. The soothing sound of water combined with the thrill of reeling in a catch brought him great joy throughout the years. Family held a special place in Felix’s heart, and he treasured every opportunity for gatherings with loved ones. A devoted family man, he found happiness in creating memorable experiences together—whether it was celebrating birthdays or simply enjoying each other’s company around a table filled with food and laughter. Felix’s warmth and kindness radiated, making him the central pillar of love and support within his family. On game days, you could always find Felix cheering passionately for his beloved 49ers. His unwavering loyalty was a testament to his commitment and dedication, both in sports and in life. Felix Salas, Jr. will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him. His legacy lives on through the beautiful works of art he leaves behind and the memories etched in the hearts of his family and friends. Felix was preceded in death by his granddaughter, McKenzie Renee Reyes, father, Felix Salas, Sr, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Felix is survived by his children, Timothy Salas and wife Brianna, Arron Salas and wife Renda, Stacie Lyanna Salas, Jillian Peña, Christian Peña and Emilia Castillo; grandchildren, Kylie Raye Salas, Christopher Herrera, Alanie Marie Salas, Donavon Jay Salas, and Luna Faye Salas; mother, Esperanza Torres and siblings; Joe Torres and wife Anita, Ramon Torres and wife Tracey, Frances Rodriguez, Robert Torres, Jackie Escamilla and husband Alex, James Salas and wife Maria, Jeffery Salas, Marc Anthony Salas, Joann Castro and husband Jerry, Mary Saldana and Kristie Salas.
