Funeral services for Felix M. Barnhart will be held at 10 am, Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with Father John Ohlig officiating. Burial will follow in the Brownfield Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

A rosary will be held for Felix at 6 pm on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at Brownfield Funeral Home.

Felix was born to Theodoro Barnhart and Isabel Gonzales on November 20, 1949, in Brownfield, Texas. Felix married Delia Cantu on April 15, 1967. They had 3 sons and 2 daughters: Gilbert, Daniel, Jody, and Leslie, and Joann. 

Felix made his living as a painter. He painted many houses and buildings here in Brownfield and surrounding communities. He took pride in his work and enjoyed painting. Felix’s favorite pastime was riding his Harley and he enjoyed spending time at bike rallies. He was a true free-spirited biker. His other passion was his grandkids and great-grandkids. He had one other love and that was his horses Freckles and Shorty.

Felix passed away on April 14, 2023, after a brief illness.

Felix is survived by his wife Delia, his sons Gilbert and wife Becky of San Angelo, Daniel, and wife Tina, his daughters Leslie Alvarado and Joann Cedillo-Aguilar all of Brownfield, and 18 grandchildren 7 great-grandchildren. One sister Corina Perez and brothers Eloy, Rusty, and Adam Barnhart.

He was preceded in death by his son Jody and his parents Theodoro and Isabel; 2 sisters Lorene Tijerina and Alicia Deleon; and 2 brothers Alex and Roy Barnhart.
