Eric Osborne, age 74, of Brownfield, Texas, went home to his Lord and Savior on October 27, 2025.
Eric was born on September 22, 1951, in Charlotte, West Virginia, to Donald Osborne and Greta Kilpatrick. He married the love of his life, Rita Osborne, on November 9, 1973. The couple met and married in Lubbock, Texas, and later made their home in North Carolina, Kansas, and eventually in Brownfield, Texas.
While living in Brownfield, Eric was a devoted member of the Brownfield Church of Christ and a faithful minister of the Bible throughout his life. He was a graduate of the Sunset School of Preaching in Lubbock and shared the gospel through numerous missionary trips abroad as well as through correspondence from home.
Eric was preceded in death by his beloved son, Adam Benjamin Osborne; his wife, Rita Osborne; his parents, Donald Osborne and Greta Kilpatrick; and his stepfathers, Dewey Allen Kilpatrick and George Guillot.
He is survived by his daughter, Angela Roberson; two grandsons, Jake Strickland and Dally Roberson; granddaughter, Mykeah Bartley, and her husband, Beau; great-granddaughter, Maizeleigh Bartley; sister, Rebecca Griffen, and her husband, Bryan; stepsister, Cathy Merris; and stepmother, Doris Osborne.
A memorial service celebrating Eric’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at the Brownfield Church of Christ, with Bo Shero officiating.
