- 64 children have been hospitalized in New York with symptoms similar to toxic shock syndrome and Kawasaki disease, all have either positive COVID-19 tests or antibody tests. The children are experiencing inflammation in the walls of their arteries, persistent fevers, rash, and swollen neck glands. It is unknown at this time why children are experiencing these symptoms with a COVID-19 infection.
- A retrospective study from Mount Sinai Hospital in New York of 2,700 patients that were intubated with COVID-19 showed that the patients that received anti-coagulant medications had a 34% higher survival rate.
