Curtis Alan Kay, 58, of Lubbock passed from this life on March 10, 2022.  Memorial services were held at 2:30 pm on Monday, March 14, 2022, in the Krestridge Funeral Home Chapel.

He was born September 9, 1963 in Brownfield to William Wylie Kay, Jr. and Doris Faye Howell Kay. 

Alan was a graduate of Whitharral High School and a member of the 1981 State 6-man Football Champions.  He was named the 1981 State of Texas Player of the Year.  Alan was also named to the All-Century Football Team.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wylie and Doris Kay.

Alan is survived by his brother, Brian (Melanie) Kay of Ocean Springs, MS; sister, Shelly Kay of Gulfport, MS; uncle, Jimmy Glenn Howell; nieces, Jenna (Jamie) Drennen and Kyla (Tommy) Saucier both of Biloxi, MS; great nieces, Rose Theriot Drennen and Sonny Jean Saucier;  great nephews, Knox Louis Saucier and Auggie James Drennen; and numerous cousins.
