On Saturday Feb. 8th, 2025, at approximately 6:00 pm, the Brownfield Fire & Rescue was dispatched to US Hwy 380 (east) and County Road 440, approximately 10 miles east of Brownfield for a vehicle accident. According to dispatch, the accident involved a motorcycle.
According to Texas DPS, upon arrival, a 2015 Harley Davidson motorcycle, driven by Brad Estenson, 32 of Brownfield was traveling west on US 380, approaching the intersection with County Road 595. Estenson had entered a curve and left the roadway to the north barrow ditch. The motorcycle traveled in the barrow ditch when it went into a roll. Estenson was ejected from the motorcycle. First responders worked to revive Estenson. However, he was pronounced deceased on the scene as a result of the injuries he sustained during the crash. According to TxDPS, Estenson was not wearing a helmet.
The Brownfield Fire & Rescue, Terry County Sheriff’s Dept., BRMC EMS, TxDPS responded to the scene.
