BIDCorp hears Rialto report

Brownfield Industrial Development Corporation’s Board of Directors met on Monday, December 13 in their regular monthly meeting.

BIDCorp Executive Director Brian Brisendine went over the work completed, and anticipated at the old Rialto Theater. “We have seen lots of improvements. We are working now to complete the outdoor lighting project. It is already looking good.” He also stated the new roof is on and looking good and he is pleased with the work of Johnson Roofers.

Brisendine stated that they would take bids on the inside renovations to see what it will take to get the inside renovated as a large events center.

In other business, the Board heard a presentation from Warren Westcott, vice President of Sales for the Golden Shovel Agency. This is an agency that specializes in website design and maintenance for Industrial Development Corporations.

Westcott stated that his group would be full service and would stay in regular contact with Brisendine and keep the website updated regularly. He stated his group could also monitor how many people and who are visiting the website. The projected cost would be $27,650 per year, plus a possible $4,200 for Website Lead Generation and Tracking.

The Board did not make a change at this time in website provider. They will continue to look at options.

Brisendine also gave the financial report and the Sales Income Tax report. The Sales Tax for November was $53,489, and for December – $37,320.

The Board adjourned and will meet again in January.
