Services for Bernice Riojas, 46, of Brownfield will be at 10am, Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with Father Gerald Leatham officiating. Burial will be in Brownfield Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Visitation will be at Brownfield Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6-8pm.
Bernice passed away Saturday, December 6, 2014 in Lubbock. She was born on April 3, 1968 in Brownfield to Lewis and Oralia Arrezola. Bernice married Ramon Riojas on August 23, 1992 in Brownfield.
She served as the “Mr. Cub” mascot during high school. Bernice graduated with an Associate’s Degree from South Plains College and attended Business Hotel School in Dallas. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.
Bernice is preceded in death by her father, Lewis Arrezola and her twin sister, Beatrice Arrezola.
She is survived by her husband, Ramon Riojas of Brownfield; her mother, Oralia Arrezola of Brownfield; five brothers, Wallie Arrezola of Seminole, Robert Arrezola of Austin, Lewis Arrezola, Jr. of Brownfield, Albert Arrezola of Seminole, Marty Arrezola of Brownfield; four sisters, Rosa Acosta of Brownfield, Lilley Glass of Seminole, Linda Pompa of Levelland, and Bertha Walpole of South Carolina. As well as many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
