The Brownfield Chamber of Commerce annual “Keep the Cheer Here” Christmas shopping event brought out huge crowds of people to local merchants and vendors.
The annual event was held on Thursday, December 2, from 5 – 8 p.m. Almost all local merchants participated, and most had only good things to say about the event.
Chamber Director Lorena Valencia stated, “We had a large crowd of shoppers out for Keep the Cheer Here. Businesses were happy with the success of the event. We had several businesses who donated excellent door prizes. Thanks to all who participated and everyone who Kept the Cheer Here!”
Kelli Hesse of Nelson Pharmacy stated, “We were so happy to see our store packed with smiling faces! Everyone seemed so happy to be out and about and supporting local businesses. Thank you to our customers!
Pam Brock of Oooh La La stated, “It was awesome. With so much going on so close together (Support Dale and Pam Day, Pink Friday, Shop Small Business Saturday), I wasn’t sure how it would be, but customers came out in full force and blew us away with their support. To say we have felt the love and the support of this community is an understatement. We are truly BLESSED!!”
Mary Wilmeth of The Triple D said, “Our 2021 Keep the Cheer Here was so awesome. It was great getting to shop with all the local small businesses. What a blessing to be able to keep our cheer local.”
Santa and Mrs. Claus were even on hand for the fun!
Shoppers were given tickets for a drawing of prizes that had been donated by local merchants. The drawing for the prizes was held at ACES at 8:15 p.m.
