Funeral services for Amalio Garcia, Jr. will be held 10 am Friday, January 7, 2022 at United Family Fellowship. There will be a family visitation from 6pm to 8pm Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Brownfield Funeral Home.
Amalio was born on September 16, 1945 to Amalio and Concepcion Garcia. After graduating from high school, he served in the United States Army. He married Patti Garcia on May 8, 1995, in Las Vegas. Amalio loved golfing and enjoyed all sports especially the NFL. Some of his fondest memories were from when he played baseball. He enjoyed coaching. Amalio is preceded in death by his wife, Pattie Garcia, parents, and two sisters, Elvia Gamez and Mary Huerta.
Amalio is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Kay Garcia of Lubbock; son, Raul L. Garcia of Seminole; 5 grandchildren, Alyssa Garcia of Seminole, Audrianna Garcia of Seminole, Miah Saucedo of Lubbock, Garrett Morgan of Lubbock, Gage Morgan of Lubbock; and 6 siblings, Eloisa Garcia of Wolfforth, Adelina Garcia of Lubbock, Connie Garcia of Lubbock, Elida Garcia of Brownfield, Ascencion Garcia of Brownfield, and Tony Garcia of Brownfield.
