Funeral Services for Almola Gail Maynard, 88, of Denver City will be held at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, June 8, 2021 in the First Assembly of God Church with Rev. Gene Benningfield officiating, Interment will follow in the Denver City Memorial Park under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Denver City.
Almola passed away Thursday, June 3, 2021 in Denver City, Texas.
She was born April 1, 1933 in Hollis County, Oklahoma to Henry Calvin and Lilly Mae Helms Goodman. She graduated from Muleshoe High School, married Claude Laverne “Sonny” Maynard on July 27, 1951 in Lubbock, Texas. She attended Southwestern Assembly of God Church in Waxahachie, Texas then moved to Denver City in 1955 and was a faithful member of the First Assembly of God Church.
Almola was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Claude “Sonny” Maynard in 2015; a son Terry Maynard in 2006.
She is survived by her three daughters Claudia Miller and her husband Chris of Liberty Hill, Texas, Alisa Maynard and Rodney Garcia of Denver City, Lourdes Armijo of Orlando, Florida; two grandsons Jason Thompson of San Jose, California, Miguel Armijo of Orlando, Florida; three granddaughters Davela Lanford of Lubbock, Tami Clarke of Lake Stevens, Washington, Carla Armijo of Orlando, Florida; three great grandsons Donte Campbell of Lake Stevens, Washington, Justin Reed of San Antonio, Christian Reed of New Jersey; one great granddaughter Lillian Siangeldeb of Lubbock; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Family visitation will be held on Monday, June 7, 2021 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. in the Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel of Denver City.
