Funeral services for Roy Earl Lowrey will be held at 2pm Friday, September 4, 2026 at Plains First Baptist Church with Chris Seaton officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-7 Thursday, September 3, 2026 at Brownfield Funeral Home.

Roy was a great man whose life was rooted in hard work, devotion, and deep care for those around him. He was an amazing husband, a wonderful father, and a great grandfather, roles he carried with pride and steady love. He was also known as someone who never met a stranger, welcoming others with an open heart and an easy manner that made people feel at home in his presence.

Farming was not simply something Roy did; it was his life. It shaped his days, reflected his values, and stood as a testament to his dedication and strength. He was loyal to his community, and that loyalty was seen in the way he lived, worked, and connected with the people around him. Those who knew him will remember a man of perseverance and plain-spoken wisdom, someone whose familiar saying, “Ain’t nothing easy,” captured both his humor and his understanding of life’s demands. Roy was preceded in death by his 3 great grandchildren, Colson Glover, Bentley Martin and Jessie Glover; parents, Carl and Ferne Lowrey; brothers, Coy Lowrey, Jerry Lowrey.

Roy is survived by his wife, Hazel Lowrey; brother, Melvin Lowrey; children, Toni Selph and husband Troy, Scott Lowrey and wife Leslie and Steve Lowrey; grandchildren, Colt Martin, Jordan Glover and husband Cutter, Kendall Lowrey; great grandchildren, Ashton Martin, Tatum Martin, Stran Glover, Nayvie Glover and Strait Glover and many beloved nieces and nephews.
