Funeral Mass for Ezequiel Chavira Quintana, 90, of Plains, Texas will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, February 11, 2022 in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Eduardo Teo officiating. Interment will follow in the Plains Cemetery under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Denver City, Texas.
Ezequiel passed away on Monday, February 7, 2022 in Hobbs, New Mexico.
Ezequiel was born October 14, 1931 in Batopilas Chihuahua, Mexico to Ezequiel and Atilana Chavira. Ezequiel married Soledad Rodriguez on March 14, 1957 in Chihuahua, Mexico. He worked as a farm laborer for many years, he was Catholic and attended the Catholic Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents; 5 Brothers Jesus Manuel Chavira, Ramon Chavira, Vibiano Chavira, Roberto Chavira; a sister Maria Luisa Chavira.
He is survived by his wife Soledad Rodriguez of the home; three sons Oscar Chavira of Hereford, Manuel Chavira of Plains, Feliciano Chavira of Hereford; three daughters Dora Elena Gallegos of Plains, Estela Chavira of Las Puentes, Chihuahua, Hilda Carrasco Chavira of Hobbs, New Mexico; a sister Maria Chavira; along with twenty grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren.
Rosary will be held Wednesday, February 9, 2022 and Thursday, February 10, 2022 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel Denver City, Texas.
