After coming off their win against Denver City in their district opener 14-0, the Lady Cubs softball squad hosted Littlefield on Saturday March 27 and found themselves at 2-0 in district action. The Lady Cubs, under the pitching efforts of Bri Franco, showed strong defense and grit to take an 11-0 win. Although Brownfield started off slow, in the 6th an Ashli Gutierrez two run homer initiated the 10-run rule.

In yesterday’s game on March 30, the Lady Cubs continued their winning streak and are now 3-0 in district. They traveledto Muleshoe and won 11-3. This game would finish in the 7th inning and again the Lady Cub’s defense stepped up behind pitcher Gutierrez. She is the third different pitcher in a row for the Lady Cubs. They improve their district record to 3-0.
The Lady Cubs will host Lamesa Friday April 2, 2021 with a first pitch at 12 p.m.
