PREDICTIONS

Key to the Game: Offensively the key for the Red Raiders has to be Alan Bowman protecting the ball. A big reason KSU was able to come back last week was Rattler turning the ball over. If Texas Tech protects the ball they should be able to out score KSU. Defensively the Red Raiders need to keep freshman Deuce Vaughn in check. He has been making big plays and has been a catalyst for their offense.

Defensive MVP: Riko Jeffers

Special Team MVP: Trey Wolff

Score Prediction: Texas Tech 45, KSU 38

Keys to the Game: Special teams will again likely be a huge factor. Kleiman has continued Bill Snyder’s tradition of making things happen on that side of the ball and the Red Raiders need to play head-up with the Wildcats in this area. Additionally, Tech’s offensive tackles must be at their very best because K-State has as good a tandem of DEs (Hubert and Duke) as there is in the country.

Offensive MVP: SaRodorick Thompson

Defensive MVP: Alex Hogan

Special Teams MVP: Jacob Morgenstern

Score Prediction: Kansas State 31, Texas Tech 23

Key to the Game: Texas Tech goes into the game with a big chip on its shoulder. While the Wildcats will be confident after their win on the road against OU, the Red Raiders upgraded talent will rise to the top as Chadarius TownsendColin SchoolerTyree Wilson and Jordan Morgenstern will all have a big game on the way to a road victory over Kansas State.

————————

Key to the Game: Kansas State has a very aggressive defensive line. Because of this, the o-line for Texas Tech must be at the top of their game. If the Wildcats get to Bowman, then they’ve won the game as Bowman’s doesn’t perform well against pressure.

Key to the Game: Texas Tech must shake off the emotional loss last weekend, take care of the football and then continue to play aggressively through all four quarters. If they do those things they’ll have an excellent shot at notching an elusive win in Manhattan, KS.
