As school is nearing its start, Wellman-Union began a series of in-service and work days for teachers to prepare for the new year.
There are five new teachers on the W-U campus this year, including new Secondary Principal Kyle Conatser who hails from New Deal, but came to Wellman-Union from Comfort ISD. Coming with Conatser is his wife Heather who will be teaching Business at W-UHS.
Other new teachers include Charlene Winters, who will be teaching 3rd grade, Karol Browne, who will be teaching Ag and being the FFA Advisor, and also Taylor Dillard, who will be teaching Junior High History and is also serving as the Lady Cats Volleyball Coach. Coach Dillard has already begun working out with her Lady Cats and is looking forward to a great season.
