Funeral Services for Ernest S. Barrientez Sr., 74, of Denver City will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, June 18, 2020 in the Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel, Denver City, Texas with Rev. Jesse Garcia officiating. Interment will follow in the Denver City Memorial Park under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Denver City.
Ernest passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2020 in Denver City, Texas.
He was born March 30, 1946, in Karnes City, Texas to Juan and Maria Salinas Barrientez. He married Cleo Garcia on April 1, 1964 in Karnes City, Texas. His hobbies were crossword puzzles, auto painting, handyman, small engine repair, fishing and watching westerns.
He was preceded in death by his three brothers Julio, Frank and David.
Ernest is survived by his wife Cleo Barrientez of the home; three sons Ernest Barrientez Jr., Joe Louis Barrientez, Jessie Barrientez all of Denver City; three daughters Debbie Barrientez, Annette Barrientez, Ruby Barrientez all of Denver City; seventeen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; a brother John Barrientez; two sisters Margaret Trinidad, Yolonda Villa.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at 6:00 to 7:30 P.M. in the Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel.
