Funeral services for Juanita Alaniz Garcia will be held 10 am Tuesday, September 18, 2018, at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Carter officiating. Burial will follow in the Brownfield Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
There will be a family visitation on Sunday and Monday, September 16 and 17 at Brownfield Funeral Home from 6 pm to 8 pm.
Juanita passed away Thursday, September 13, 2018, in Lubbock. She was born May 15, 1948, to Martin and Adelia Luna Alaniz in Poteet. She attended school in Brownfield. Juanita was an amazing mother, grandmother and sister. She loved her pets. She is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Victoria Arriaga, parents, Martin and Adelia Alaniz, 3 brothers, Espirion Alaniz, Ramon Alaniz, Antonio Alaniz, 3 sisters, Celia Hernandez, Louisa Luna, and Gloria Alaniz.
Juanita is survived by 5 children, Ofelia Davis and husband, Jeff, of Brownfield, Robert Garcia and wife, Liana, of Brownfield, Michael Garcia and wife, Becky, of Brownfield, Rosemary Garcia of Brownfield, Rachel Garcia of Brownfield; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Lily, Robert Jr., Sadie, Haley, Devin, Darian, Zach, Chris, Natalee; 2 great-grandchildren, Raylen and Anthony; 3 brothers, Edward Alaniz, Lupe Alaniz, Tommy Alaniz; 2 sisters, Elvira Martinez, Mary Trivino; 4 beloved dogs, Pancho, Peanut, Flaca, Killer; and 2 beloved birds, Pecker, Rosey.
