Lora Naomi Oltjen, 76, of Canyon died Tuesday, June 19, 2018.
Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, June 25, 2018, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Mike Kuhlman officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Naomi was born August 17, 1941, in Brownfield to Onnie and Sylvia Reed. She completed the Institution for Organizational Management at SMU.
Naomi loved to read, garden and can foods. She was honored with the Outstanding Conservation Homemaker Award. She also loved her pets and her cattle. From 1983-1987, Naomi was the manager of Canyon Chamber of Commerce. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Jamie Wade; and a son, Govan Mills.
Survivors include her husband, Allan Oltjen; a daughter, Gwen Mills; stepdaughter, Traci Farris, of Georgetown; a stepson, Bret Oltjen, of Temple; 12 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to City Church in Amarillo; or to Texas Veterinary Medical Foundation, 8104 Exchange Drive, Austin, Texas 78754.
