Tommie Jean Burse

Brownfield- 84, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2018. Tommie was born April 9, 1934, in Nacogdoches, TX to Augusta and J.B. Flournoy. She was employed by South Plains Nursing Home for 31 years. Tommie leaves to cherish her memory; two daughters, Doris Jean Burse and Mary Helen Burse; four sons, Dewayne Burse (Debbie), Charles Burse, J.B. Burse, and D.C. Burse, Jr.; one sister, Lorine Fuller; one brother, Tommy Lee Flournoy; 26 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, a host of other relatives, and friends. Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Brownfield Church of Christ. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Brownfield, TX under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitation will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Monday at Griffin Mortuary.
