Waymon Davis, age 72, passed from this life on September 27, 2015 in Lubbock, TX.
Celebration of life will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Rising Star Baptist Church in Rockdale, Texas with Pastor Royal Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at New Oaklawn Cemetery in Rockdale, Texas.
Personal services have been entrusted to Mark A Jones Funeral Directors of Brownfield.
Waymon was born to Edger and Alice Davis on January 6, 1943 in Rockdale, TX.
He lived in Rockdale Intel he moved in 1965 in which time he moved to Brownfield. He worked for Windom Gin for 50 years in Brownfield.

His family remembers how he loved to watch the Dallas Cowboys and the WWE (John Cena. Waymon always landed out a helping hand, was a great mentor, a great man and always took care of his family.
Those left to cherish his memories are wife, of 19 years, Beartha Davis, of the home 1 Son: Brandon Davis of California; 4 stepsons: James Mackey, James Swoops, and Earl Swoops all of Dallas; and Robert Parrish of Lubbock; 3 step daughters: Sheryl Swoops of Chicago; Sherell Parrish of Brownfield; and Renee Ross of Dallas; 1 brother: Lafayette Davis of Austin; 4 sisters: Bessie Joe Davis, Mary Ware both of Rockdale; Linda Alexander of Spring; and Beverley (Charles) Richards of Pflugerville;
He is preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings: Geneve and Eugene (twins) sister, Clara bell, and Julia Ann, brothers: Henry Herman, Alvin Ben, and Leonard.
