Stanley Donald Crenshaw, age 60, of Richlands, Virginia, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2015. Stanley was born August 30, 1954, in Portales, NM, to the late Don Crenshaw and Nadine Fraze Crenshaw. He had made Richlands, Virginia, his home for the last 21 years, where he was the owner and operator of Shade Tree Welding, and was employed with Little River Pipeline, Oakwood, Virginia.
Stan was a talented welder, an avid fisherman and an encyclopedia of bad jokes. He had a big heart and was a champion of lost animals. Spooker (his welding cat) and Lucile (his beet hunting dog) were treasures that others had thrown away. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Stanley is survived by his wife and best friend of 20 years, Deborah Mullins Crenshaw of Richlands, Virginia; son, Robert Hawkins of Christiansburg, Virginia; daughter, Aubony Crenshaw of Austin, Texas; 3 sisters, Eyvonne (Terry) Palmer of Brownfield, Texas, Annette Olson of Sioux City, Iowa, and Dana Deister of Kansas City, Missouri; grandson Kaden Hawkins and granddaughter Nico Crenshaw.
A memorial service for Stanley Donald Crenshaw will be conducted at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tazewell County Animal Rescue Coalition at www.tazewellarc.org.
