2950237Kathy Taylor Wright, 65, of Littlefield passed away Monday February 2, 2015 in Lubbock. She was born July 12, 1949 in Jayton, Texas to Frank and Lela Taylor. Kathy married R. Jerry Wright April 7, 1975 in Brownfield, Texas. She worked several part time jobs in her life, but she was a full time wife and mother. She was a caregiver, very selfless and always did for others before she did for herself. Her love was serving as a bus driver for disabled children. Kathy was very involved in numerous charities and volunteer organizations, and had a “life of the party” spirit. She never met a stranger, and was the kind of person that would do anything for anyone. She is survived by her daughter, Amber Strickland and husband Brandon of Ft Worth, Texas; her three sons, Kelly Edwards and wife Wilma of Lubbock, Jim Edwards and fiancée Rhonda Caple of Heber Springs, Arkansas, and Jason Robert Edwards and fiancée Julia Davis of Lubbock; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and numerous extended family members. She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry, October 20, 2014; her two sons, Dustin Wright, December 5, 2013 and Jason Wright, May 7, 2001; her parents; three brothers and a sister. Funeral Services to celebrate the life and love of Kathy Wright will be 2:00 p.m., Friday February 6, 2015 at First Baptist Church in Littlefield with Israel Martinez officiating. Interment will follow in Littlefield Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday evening at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home of Littlefield.
