Funeral services for Don L. Poe, 79, will be held Monday, July 25, 2016 at 10:00 AM in the First Baptist Church of Denver City with Reverend Kyle Streun and Reverend Randy Butler officiating. Services will be under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Denver City. Interment will follow in the Denver City Memorial Park. He passed away July 22, 2016 in Denver City.
Don was born November 5, 1936 to Oscar and Alma Poe in Voca, Texas. He married Jean Gayle on March 30, 1957 in Denver City. Don was a truck driver for W.L. Kidd and after retiring he went to work for BOS for over 15 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Wanda Rose, and four brothers, Albert Poe, Tommy Poe, Twyman Poe and Bob Poe.
Don is survived by his wife, Jean of Denver City; two sons, Kenny Poe and his wife Sandy of Denver City, Tim Poe and his wife Betty of Del Norte, Colorado; a daughter, Kim Millican and her husband Kyle of Wasilla, Alaska; a sister, Debbie Poe of Fort Stockton; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
