New Terry County Heritage Museum Exhibit

“A Celebration of Hispanic Culture in Terry County” is set to run from May 1 to June 15 at the Terry County Heritage Museum, 600 E. Cardwell. The exhibit includes items emphasizing aspects of both local and national Hispanic culture. Included are a guitar, sombreros, pottery, clothing, notations on the Cinco de Mayo holiday, pinatas, and tributes to several local Mexican-American families. These materials have been graciously loaned by museum board member Clara De LaO and Lupe Serna of  the Kendrick Memorial Library.

Members of the Exhibit Committee include Fay Marie King, Jean Neal, Melba White, Fredrick Jackson and Clara De LaO. Special contributors to the exhibit are Jean Read (museum board vice-president), Dottie Barrier (museum secretary), and the Kendrick Memorial Library.

Terry County Heritage Museum hours are Tuesday through Friday from 10 to noon and 1 to 3pm. For more information, call 637-2467.
