Supporters of both Meadow and Wellman-Union will celebrate the beginning of their respective football seasons with gatherings this week.

In Wellman, The Wildcat Supporters of Academics and Athletics (WSAA) will host “Meet The Wildcats” Thursday. The event will begin with a Meet The Teacher time beginning at 4:30 p.m. The teachers will be in their respective rooms to meet with students and their parents.

The event will continue with a football scrimmage against Grady at 6 p.m. at Wildcat Stadium. Immediately following the scrimmage, introductions of the football team, cheerleaders and others will take place. The festivities will also include ice cream and watermelon for those in attendance.

In Meadow, “Meet The Broncos will also begin with a time to meet teachers beginning at 4:30 p.m. in their respective rooms. A hot dog supper will be held in the school cafeteria during this time.

The “Meet The Broncos” event will begin at 6:15 p.m. at Bronco Stadium. The football team and cheerleaders will be introduced, as will the president of the Booster Club. In addition, the Bronco Belles spirit group will be discussed.
