Friday, Dec. 9 is the deadline to submit names of underprivileged children to receive toys this Christmas as part of the 2011 Brownfield/Terry County Goodfellows campaign.

The annual drive is to make sure children in Terry County are not left out of receiving toys for Christmas. The toys collected for the drive are given to the children on Christmas Eve morning.

Names of prospective recipients of the Christmas toys must be presented to one of several local churches in the county by 5 p.m. Dec. 9.

Those wishing to give toys for the annual drive are asked to donate new unwrapped toys at one of several drop-off points in the city including Toys can be taken to any of several drop-off locations including the Terry County Annex, Brownfield City Hall, Brownfield Volunteer Fire Department, Terry County Law Enforcement Center, United Supermarket, Dollar General, Walmart and B.E. Implement. After-hours donations will be taken at the TCLEC and BVFD.

Cash donations as well as donations of non-perishable food items will also be accepted. All money received will go to buy more toys. Also, used toys will be accepted, but they must be in good condition.
