The Lady Cubs are preparing to start their 2012 district run. The Ladies have had practice and played through Spring Break. They started off the week against the New Deal Lady Lions. Everyone played well against New Deal.  In the bottom of the 7^th inning the bottom of the Lady Cub line-up (7-8-9), got on base and scored the team’s go ahead run.  M’Kayla Pauda (7^th hole) had a base hit to center field and then advanced to 2^nd & 3^rd on separate passed balls.  Tatyana Hudson (8^th hole) was hit by a pitch. And Daniella Llanas had the game winning RBI with a single to left field.  Ashlee Zambrano had a great day on the mound, only allowing 3 runs,  until she took a pitch to the inside of her knee during her at bat in the 5^th.  Marina Rodriguez stepped in and finished out the game. Congratulations to the Lady Cubs who are looking sharper all the time! And Good Luck as they head into district by facing a very tough Cooper Lady Pirate squad on Tuesday at Cooper.
